About Jenni White
Hi. I’m Jenni White. My husband, David, and I met in 1988 at the University of Central Oklahoma and married in 1997. We live on a 10-acre farm in Luther, Oklahoma, where I was Mayor from 2017-2021. We raise sheep, and keep turkeys, chickens and ducks.
In 1997, I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Master’s degree in Biology, after which I taught science as an Oklahoma public school teacher. My mother retired from teaching middle-school English in Oklahoma City public schools after three-plus decades, and it was my privilege to have taught on the same 7th grade team with her for four years, until 2002, when she retired and I left teaching to begin raising our family.
David and I have raised five children together – the youngest three of whom I schooled at home from late elementary through high school graduation.
In 2010, several friends and I began an organization called, Reclaim Oklahoma Public Education (ROPE) to call attention to issues in public education – including the Common Core State Standards. After lobbying the legislature and traveling all over the state, educating Oklahomans about this plan to have all 50 states adopt one basic set of educational standards, Common Core was repealed from state law in 2014.
Unfortunately, the repeal bill had no enforcement mechanism in it and many schools simply continued to teach Common Core despite the law. This was my first hard lesson regarding the ways in which government does not work for We The People.
Why Jenni White Is Running For HD36
For nearly 16 years, I have been involved in volunteer, grassroots politics. During that time, I have seen good legislators come and go, and bad ones stay. I have seen more and more of our individual rights and liberties taken away, and more and more of our tax dollars given to private interests so that instead of a government of WE THE PEOPLE, we now have a government that panders to private interest, becoming less and less transparent and more and more tyrannical in nature. This trend has to stop.
Unfortunately, our current HD36 Republican Representative, John George (former head of the Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police, elected in 2022) and I have come to disagreement over numerous issues – particularly the idea that Oklahoma students should be tracked through a database from the time they enter day care, until the time they exit high school and become employed. Representative George voted no less than three times for this bill though I gave him specific data and information regarding why the bill should not be passed.
In fact, according to the 2025 People’s Audit by former House of Representatives member Jason Murphey, of 97 Representatives in the House, John George was listed as #74 in protecting the rights of We The People. Only four of 99 examined votes, protected the rights of We The People and followed the principles of conservative government – though Representative George has run as a “conservative”. Here is the link to Representative George’s votes so that you may review them for yourself.
Jenni White’s Record
In 2008, a group of people began a group called the OKC912 Project. Several of us from that group created another organization called Restore Oklahoma Public Education (ROPE) to call attention to public school spending and other education issues. In 2010 after researching the Common Core State Standards (a set of educational standards to be used by all 50 states) ROPE began lobbying legislators to repeal the CCSS from Oklahoma law. Finally, in 2014, the standards were removed from law, but the bill had no enforcement mechanism, so the CCSS continued to be taught in many classrooms around the state without any reprisal at all.
You can read my research, opinions and activities about Oklahoma public education through the blogs I’ve authored since 2011 on ROPE’s old Blogspot and on our website ROPE2.org.
In 2017, I was elected to the Luther Town Board of Trustees, where I was then appointed Mayor by the other Board members. You can find a record of my achievements during my time as Luther’s Mayor, on my LinkdIn page, but in synopsis; the Town Trustees and I did NOT close the Town, nor force residents to wear masks during COVID. I helped put a Master Plan in place for the Town and reinstitute the Parks Commission and the Luther Economic Development Authority. Together, the Trustees and I were able to stop the corruption and poor management of the previous Town Board, bringing up the Town coffers from approximately 135 thousand dollars, when I started, to just over one million dollars through appropriate budgeting and saving, as I left my time in office.
Over the last several years, I have moved from research and writing to producing a podcast dedicated to educating Oklahoma citizens about legislation and the actions of government officials that impact their liberty. It airs Wednesdays and Fridays at 9am live with my podcast partner, former Edmond School Board candidate, Michael Grande. All our past podcasts are stored on our Rumble and YouTube channels for your review.
And so you see, I’ve spent much of my time engaged in activities dedicated to strengthening liberty for Oklahomans, and the results of those efforts are easily found and studied. But please, if you have any questions at all about my campaign, please do not hesitate to email me directly at jenniwhiteforhd36@gmail.com.
